Women’s 5-day Riding Camp
June 18-22
This is a women’s riding camp. "Campers" must be over 18 years old and must have previous riding experience. The camp includes two riding lessons per day and a round table discussion over lunch. Both Western and English lessons are offered. You can bring your own horse or lease one of ours. Activities include lunging lessons, gentle yoga and stretching between rides, discussions about various horsemanship topics, and lots more!
There is a maximum of 8 women for the camp. The cost is $600 and that includes either the board for your horse or the lease of a school horse. Healthy lunches are also provided.
Each day starts at 9:00 am with a riding lesson and finishes at 4:00 pm. If you are bringing your own horse, you can arrive on Sunday between 4-8 pm to get settled. Negative current Coggins test required.
RCTC Equine Science instructors Julie Christie and Jonathon Holland will be teaching the camp and facilitating the round table discussions.
Julie Christie is the Program Leader for Equine Science at RCTC. Julie has competed in various disciplines, including hunt seat, jumper, and eventing circuits throughout Canada, the USA, and Ireland. Julie also has a Masters degree in Equine Science from the Atlantic Veterinary College.
Jonathon was previously a professor at the University of Minnesota at Crookston, but has been teaching at RCTC since Fall 2006. He is also the head coach for the IHSA team.

“Learn to Ride English” Weekend Camp
June 8-10
This is a weekend riding camp for adults (over 18 yrs). "Campers" must have some previous riding experience, but English experience is not necessary. English tack can be borrowed. Bring your own horse or lease one of ours. There are a maximum of 8 riders permitted. Lunches are provided. Arrive on Friday afternoon. Your first lesson will be on Friday at 6:00 pm. Five lessons total. Round table horsemanship discussions over lunch. Cost $300 and includes either board for your horse or the lease of a school horse.

“English Equitation” 3-Day Evening Camp
July 9-11
Three evenings of English equitation lessons. The camps run each day from 6pm-9pm. Bring your own horse or lease one of ours. There are a maximum of 6 riders permitted. Riders must have some previous English riding experience. Lessons can include work on the lunge line, jumping, hunt seat equitation on the flat, and classes on how to effectively use your seat. Riders should be ready to ride at 6:00 pm. Cost is $150 and includes either board for your horse or leasing one of ours.
