Lessons at The Stables Equestrian Center focus on developing good horsemanship skills as well as effective riding skills and balance in alignment with the United States Pony Club model.
We specialize in youth riders from beginner to intermediate.
Lesssons will be managed by owner/director Eliese Klennert-Nelson who is a CHA certified riding instructor and conducted by quality staff of The Stables Equestrian Center.

| How Much Will It Cost? |

|
|
|
New Students
$125 per month (includes 4 group lessons and 1 monthly unmounted meeting).
Intermediate/Advanced Students
$200 per month which includes 7 group lessons a month (2 jumping lessons, 4 lessons on the flat and 1 monthly unmounted meeting).
Please note that the minimum age for the lesson program is 7. We are able to arrange half hour lead line rides for 5 & 6 year olds, but they will not be able to participate in the lesson program until their seventh birthday. Riding requires a high-degree of coordination, balance, and concentration--young children often lack the body control needed to properly cue the horse.

| LESSONS WITH JULIE CHRISTIE |
|
|
Julie Christie is available for lessons at The Stables Equestrian Center by appointment. Lessons for novice to advanced riders can include work on the lunge line, jumping, hunt seat equitation on the flat, and basic dressage.
Julie Christie is the program leader for Equine Science program at RCTC. Julie has competed in various disciplines, including hunt seat, jumper, and eventing circuits throughout Canada, the USA, and Ireland. Julie also has a Masters degree in Equine Science from the Atlantic Veterinary College.

You can bring your own horse (current Coggins required) or use one of ours.
Rates
$50 private
$35 per person for semi-private (2-3 riders)
